any suggestion on how to get the hoses off...the look like they are press fit on...I have a new manifold and just need to know how to get the hoses off to complete the swap...also the new one only has one sensor on it and the old one has two....(plugs that I assume are sensors)...the wiring harness the dealer gave me has three plugs and there are only two places to plug it in....now Im really confused...any help appreciated...oh yeah already tried toe dealer and they will not let me talk to a tech without making an appointment for a consultation,,,with a fee of course!
I'll help you as best I can. Looking at this picture the two lines on the left of the HFCM--fuel return to tank and fuel supply to HFCM require a line removal tool available at most parts stores for about 6-15 bucks. Line size is 5/16 I believe. The two on the right --fuel supply to engine and fuel return to HFCM are retained by the silver clips and just fold away to detach. The wiring plugs will only plug in one way and I believe they have done away with the fuel heater so you may have to tape that part of your truck harness up.
If you have questions about how to disconnect the two left lines with the special tool then ask one of the guys at the parts store to show you. Basically it is just a split sleeve that you wrap around the line, slide it into the connector to release and pull the lines apart. Once you get it figured out it's really simple. I'll be here if you have any questions.
About your dealer--I realize a tech's time is valuable, but it's also about customer service too. Sounds like they are ONLY interested in the money and finding another dealer might be in order. I bet they are also A-holes about warranty claims too.

ok have the little metal clips off and now do I just pull on the lines? Are they a slip on type or do I need that tool for that one as well? Im running to the parst store to get the line removal tool....is there anyway to shut the fuel off or do I get a bath until the tank is empty? or wil it stop flowing as long as the pumup is not pumping?
I'm sure you'll get some siphoning action--don't think there's a way to help that. The two clipped lines just pull apart. The two tooled lines are like an internal quick coupler, but they will just pull apart when they are released also.
got it man those hoses were a PITA....anyway new one has the heater eliminated..truck seems to run a little better there was quite a bit of water in the seperator...again thanks for all your help!
