99 ;; F350 crew cab diesel ... I read a lot about the front brakes but nothing on the rear. I had a recall on this truck when it was new and they redid something on the parking brake. The pedal would be all the way to the floor whenever it did catch. I asked about an adjustment and they said there was no adjustment on the parking brake. When I back my boat in the lake I am afraid I am going to run in someday...someone know how to adjust this brake?
I guess I should not have put this where it belongs...should have put it on the diesel side. Maybe someone would tell me I put it in the wrong spot but I would have gotten an answer. Don't know how to move it over there or I would. Thanks!
If you remove the rotor, you will see the parking brake shoes. To adjust the shoes, remove the rubber plug in the access hole on the lower back of the backing plate. Doesnt say which direction expands the shoes.
