I used an die grinder tool, its odd, but with the die grinder tool the lines come off like air compressor quick disconnects.

A couple of monthss ago I saw a post where someone said they improvised and used some common tool to remove those lines. I have been searching for it but cannot find it now. I remember seeing the post about the same time that i had my oil leak and that was in late June. I will keep searching.

You know how you pull apart air compressor lines, you pull down then since there is air the tool blows off, or if its heavy you pull it off, same concept, except you need the tool so you can push it down easier, the pull up on the line.

I searched back and found this and it makes perfect sense really.

The special tool is a door trim tool. The tool that you would use when the door panels had them little plastic clips in it. I bought one for under $5 it works like a charm.

Auto zone has those or at least used to. Been a few years ago I bought it. It looks like a big heavy fork -sort of, with a 90 on the end to pull up on. Good Luck -Like totin said they arent expensive.

i got the lines off, thanks for your help, but i have a question before i put it all back together, on one of the fittings there is a groove that has a retaining clip in it, well part of it was broken when i took the fitting out, i have the piece, but will i need to get a new clip or will 85% of the clip left be enough???

well just to report, i ended up useing the clip, and everything seems just fine, no leaks, cross my fingers. quick question, i had a lot of oil run down the back of the engine yesterday while i was fixing it, and today it seems it still drips once in a while from the bell housing inspection cover, think it will take a few days for all the leftover oil clear out???? (hope its not my turbo orings now haha)
