battery light on

hi i have a 1997 f150 the battery light stays on i bought a new battery a new alternator { i bought a new ford replacement one } but its still stays on
any suggestions thanks john

check the ground wires to the body, motor and frame. poor ground will make alternator do that. also check output with a seperate volt meter.

Check power to the alt. and regulator. You may have a blown fuse. O/lb,should have power key off, lg/r, should have power when running.

i found the problem there was a terminal that wasnt making good contact thanks everyone
