A/C Clutch replacement
The bearing in the pulley clutch for my A/C compressor is making noise. Is it difficult to replace the clutch pulley unit? Thanks

I took mine apart and the clutch is fine and I never had a problem with the actual AC compressor as the AC works fine, however the bearing in mine was shot! As I took it apart it fell apart more of less.

This lists the FX-10, I think you shuold have a FS-10 compressor.
Anyway long story short I matched up the bearing and will have it today. The bearing cost me $60 CAD + $20 air to get it. The specs for the bearing are here: http://www.zxz-bearings.com/air-cond...r-bearings.htm. The size is: 30 55 23 FORD. If you bring those specs to a bearing shop they can match it up for you. It will probably be a special order like mine.

Thanks for the info. I am soon leaveing for 3 weeks of work and will tackle this job when I come home. The squealing is minimal now after I sprayed it with lubricating oil (LPS) not WD-40. The truck will be parked well I am away.
