Ok I'm wanting to put a tuner on my 2002 CC 4x4 psd. I have a K&N cold air intake and a 4" turbo back Magna Flow exhaust on already. I'm looking at the edge products and I looked at the DP also. The DP looks confusing to me with all of the different tunes you can get. So anybody have any suggestions.
Get DP tuning, much better than edge. Its not confusing at all, just give them a call and tell them what you want and what you plan on doing and they will help you out no problem.
You might want to check threads about the k&n filter. Don't even think about the EDGE, get a DP-TUNER and you will be much more happy with that tuner/chip. Make your choices wisely. Have a good day.
The DP-Tuner is the cat's meow when it comes to waking up our 7.3's. Check out the search this thread section of this forum for some great insight on tuners. Plan on getting gauges too!! Welcome to PMS.
My opinion is that the turbo pulls air so fast, it actually over time pulls the oil off of the filter and feeds it through the turbo, into the engine. Along with the oil comes the dirt that is stuck to it. And as dirty as yours is the last time i saw it, it becomes a problem.
I ran the K&N cold intake with no problems. Did the WW fan looked great with no problems. That's with working in all kind of conditions. Last week thought I might try 6637 so I could clean the K&N. Both filters in my opinion are great but don't think I will be going back to the K&N. I think the 6637 sucks in more or something but it did make a difference. All I say is give it a try.
Yeah stick with the tuner and Pyro, Egt, & Trans gauges. You won't regret it. I've had the Banks system, and the Edege systems both. They are both way over priced and they suck compared to a tuner and Gauges. I also switched from the K&N to the 6637 filter. Alot of us here are passing on information based on personal experiences. Now I don't know if the info thats passed on about the K&N filter systems are true, first hand. But with a $1800 GT BB Turbo in my truck, I'm not gonna second guess them. Anyhow, just passing on info too. Take care. Country

And past the turbo, you've got $10K+ in motor that you don't want to wreck as well. Ditch the K&N. The beauty of this site is newer folks can learn from the senoir folks & the $$$$ they've spent on things that might/might not work. Incentive alone to join up, like most of us have........
I had the edge, sold it for a dp and all i can say is wow........It has a lot more power on the 80econ then the edge on 75 extream and you cant go wrong on the shifting program that jody has for it.btw you might want to save about $225 for a bts valve body, the two work great together.
