Where would I look for a site for different paint schemes to paint my '59 Panel? Maybe put in the make and model or load a picture of truck and play with different paint colors.I know they have them at paint stores for houses so maybe it is available for cars/trucks.Thanks for any help, Mike
house of kolor is supposed to have one, but it costs money...I read about it in a mag some time ago, not sure if it's good or not. or you can be vague and try this one:
Thanks Truxx and Bob and all, I just ck'ed out HOK and they charge 49.95 for the software on each truck. Bob the pix you sent are great, thanks. I am having trouble with new comp. and have my pix into comp. but cannot email those yet. I have thought the dipped look for each truck. I have no chrome grill or bumpers but have thought about the 48-49 with silver body and black fenders(like Model A's) saw one on this site red with black running bds. that looked good. The panel has some interesting lines to cut in different colors but have not come up with any good ideas yet. Just need to get both into primer while the metal is as good as it is, named the panel Lazeras for good reasons. found at junk yard, put aside from crusher, just waiting for a nut like me to show up.Lot of bondo but lot of potential. A buddy. likes the 48-50 painted black around the headlight area but they look better body color to me. But how good would they look with black fenders, grill area, running bds. with SS grill bars, with the body painted in red or silver??have not seen one just like that.
Thanks to all , for old and new info. I'll keep trying with the pix.
Mike
Thanks Bob, U R Da Man, that looks pretty good from this end. The red one has silver in headlight area, I still think that looks better painted like fenders. This gives me some ideas. Great job on the silver one. that's sure cheaper than buying the paint and later not being satisfied with the color. I saw a few at Charlotte but most were body and fenders the same color, saw a 48 with deep red with custom tailgate with SS plate, had FORD script in the oval engraved in the gate--Awesome look.
Thanks so much, Mike
Bob, that's sweet how you can do that with Photo shop. I've been trying to mess with this other program and cant figure it out. Gonna get Photo shop and maybe get you to tutor me if you are up for it.
I've got tons of ideas on paint schemes but no way to see if they will work. You just sold me.....
I use Paint Shop Pro, I don't know if it operates the same as PhotoShop. If I get a chance I'll set up a tutorial like I did for posting pictures on this site.
