2004 Tail Light Bulb Replacement
.....but I've searched my brains out on the forum and couldn't find what I needed either here or through my all data membership.Seems simple enough. Need to replace the rear tail light bulb. Left rear to be specific on a non-air susp 2004 4x4.
Can't seem to get access to the bulb/socket. Tried pulling the torx screws on the inside of the endgate surface to remove the lense and work from the back of the light assembly. There still seems to be a couple of more fasteners holding the lense to the truck. Tried getting access to the socket from the rear/inside of the truck. That method is going to require gutting the trim in the rear hatch area.
Question for the troops?
How to I get access to the bulb socket to replace the bulb?
Gutting the rear hatch area seems excessive (floor/quarterpanel/pillar trim).
I think I'm missing some fasteners somewhere besides the two torx screws in the endgate surface. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Eric
its held in by 2 plastic studs with rubber caps on them, and they pop into the body
after you pull the screws, put your hands on the lens and wiggle and pull
Again..thanks for the help....I thought this had to be simpler than what was panning out.
Eric
