DRW mpg vs SRW?

I am looking at an 05 F350 CC,SB,4X4, DRW and am curious what difference guys are seeing in mpg with the DRW vs the SRW trucks. I would guess it is minimal, but curious. I did a search and came up empty handed. Thanks

With the same rear gears should be within a half mile per gallon.

Great, kind of what I was hoping! What gears would I expect to find in a 350 with DRW? Are the vin codes listed here somewhere on the site?

Probably 4:10 rear end (or is it 4:30?)

I get 12.5 MPG mixed highway and city. 03 F350 Crew Cab, short box, dually. 7.3, stacked edge chips, 4 inch exhaust, intake.

If you get a DRW more times then not it will be 4.30 gears and that is right in order to keep it at 2k on the tach you have to go close to 60 mph. I have a fun tune on my so it's hard for me to do that anymore, but such is life.

As I have said before

If you are buying a Superduty and are concerned with mileage, you don't need a truck. Mileage was the last thing on my mind. How many can it seat, how comfortable is it, what can it tow.....

And with any thread about mileage, you have to add the bs factor to anyones numbers. Not many people are man enough to admit they only get 12 or 13 miles per gallon. I am..

I get 10 mpg going downhill in neutral, with a tailwind. And I ain't skeered to admit it!

Big trucks = big gas bills. It's a tradeoff.
