I keep getting the 1211 Code with my DP chip in any setting when the turbo reaches about 20+psi. I am not getting the overboost code. I just received my Auto Enginuity in the mail. Can anyone tell me what readings to take in order to figure out if it is my pump or a sensor. If I can take my truck up to 25psi in boost and not get the overboost code could my map sensor be off?
Get the ITP boost annihilator and be done with that code. Then with the AE, You can monitor the duty cycles if you think you are still having a problem with your injectors or HPOP. Less than $50. Get some or try the homemade item recently posted.

Tenn, what is the ITP boost annihilator? How does it work?
The computer in your 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel equipped vehicle will turn on the "Service Engine Soon" light at about 24psi of boost (some calibrations may come on at lower pressures)...a pressure easily attained by many of todays high performance chips, tuners and modules. At the same time, the computer will reduce fueling (power) in an effort to bring the boost pressure down. This reduced power mode will remain in effect until the PCM sees enough continuous operation without the fault (usually a few minutes of driving), the ignition is cylced or the code that tripped the SES light is cleared electronically.
Our easy to install "Overboost Annihilator " kit will prevent the computer from setting the SES light and defueling the engine...maintaining full power at ALL boost levels. This kit is pre-set to show your MAP sensor a maximum of 22-23psi and should work flawlessly for most trucks right out of the box. Adjustment of the kit for those trucks with calibrations requiring a lower max pressure is very simple and is covered in the installation instructions.
P1211 ICP Not Controllable - Pressure Abow/Below Desired
Of course remember, if the code is being thrown because the ICP is altered by tunes and not in response to boost/fueling issues the PCM perceives, then it may not go away with the annihilator. Does not mean there is a problem, just means the PCM does not like what it is seeing that the tune is doing to the injector oil pressure.
Are you getting a hard code SES light or just a soft one accessed by scanning?

Not sure what a hard or soft code is but the check engine light comes on and then goes away when the truck is restarted. I received the overboost annialator in the mail with my AE. I am going to put it on and try again. The engine does not defuel so I didnt think it was the overboost code.

That is what I refer to as a soft code. Sometimes the boost will cause the computer to try to control the HPO pressure before it begins to fully defuel, when it cannot do this, it will set a code. At least that is my theory as my SES light was tripped immediately with that code before I hooked up the OBA shortly thereafter.
I would guess it is tune related and not a problem unless the truck is running like a dog and throwing the light. SES,CEL,MIL, all mean the same to me. As long as the lamp is not staying on. Get to playing with that AE and check the ICP pressures and your duty cycles. AMiller has some good info on the AE portion of the 7point3 site. Have a look and do a health check of your engine.
Thanks Ron and Tenn. Understood completely. It is a soft code and nothing to really worry about. I will check into the boost annihilator. Just great, another project on the truck.

very easy to do..here is mine..the dial is to the left with red hoses
I hooked up the boost annihilator yesterday that I got from ITP and your right, the code is gone. Once you learn how it all work things make more sence. Thanks.... The 7point3 site is great. I learned a bunch about the AE. Thanks Tenn
I would give you Kudos but the site says I already gave you to much.
