well i did find out that the hub bearings on the right side are bad and thats the noise im hearing.
The same thing happened to our 04 Escape and it was the front bearings. Thank god it was under warranty. Ours made the tire noise that you describe since we bought it new. It just kept getting louder and louder. I always thought that it was the cheap tires that came with it.
