hpop

how do i check the oil level in the hpop and what kind of oil do i use if it is low??? and what is this oil used for and would it cause the truck 2 not start good??? and another thing is is off road diesel ok to run in these trucks???

There are two holes in the top of the HPOP you can check the oil level through either hole, one is a pressure sensor, the other is a plug. The HPOP reservoir is fed by the engine oil pump , so use whatever motor oil you are using. Most of the time if your truck is not starting good, it does not stem from HPOP problems, but yes it can cause a hard start situation. Off road diesel will run better in our trucks then ULSD that you get from the fuel station, but IMHO it is not worth the risk, and I am nearly sure I will never get checked.

thanx guys i will check it this evening... and do i fill it all the way 2 the top or is there a mark???

There is no mark. Just fill to about a 1/4" from the top.

if your resevoir is going dry you have a bigger problem than just filling it up
