bronco fuel tank mod

oh yeah tj.... calling you out....lol, hopeing for a bit of info and some pics maybee, really interested in doing that one. mainly regarding the physical tank, is it the same length and width as a 7.3 tank just deeper? and are the bronco sender lines the same diameter as the 7.3 lines, the rest is minor finegleing

cool, so the ps lines will hook right up, i think i would remove the bronco fuel pump and put a piece of line in place though, and lengthening the filler hose is no problem either, this is beginning to sound much easier, i can get a brand new bronco tank for 100 bucks

no the tank is smaller but deeper. when i stuck mine in i had all kinds of room all the way around.

the hard lines do hook right up but i suggest cutting them off and running rubber hose! i HATED trying to fiddle with those fuel line lock tools!

i dont have any pics of my install but here is a couple of the tank and the high flow filler neck

trust me, i have all the fuel line tools as well.... its still a PITA, you'll see! lol. i also bought enough rubber hose so that i could set the tank on the ground without putting tension on the fuel lines. WAY easier!

no you will have to combine the bronco filler neck and the stock filler neck. i used a piece of exhaust and some big hose clamps. its working great.

and i can fill up twice as fact with twice as much capacity since i did the fast flow neck. i LOVE being able to cram a truck stop nozzles in my truck and be done before my turbo cools down enough to cut the truck off!

oh yeah sorry Joe. I have been real busy as you can see I haven't even been posting much till today. these guys have you headed in the right direction. For the sending unit I used the orginal and just extended the fuel pickup and the level sender arm. that was the most time consuming part of the job. I also removed the roll over valve like fishmann did. and the filler neck I think is 2.25 and the pickup is 2 inch. I bought some 2.25 hose just long enough to join a exhuast pipe reduced that I made on the pipe machine then cut the stock hose to join the exhaust reducer.

I also trashed the quick connect fitting and places rubber hose all the way. much nicer to deal with once the road salt hits them. Pics are all in my webshots but I forgot to take a pic of the sending unit.
