02 Excursion PCM warning light
The warning light on the instrument panel came on 2 days ago apparently it is the PCM module light. It looks like a engine . I have noticed that it seems a bit sluggish. If I change the module will the problem be fixed? What caused this module to not work? Is this a common problem. Oh yeah it is a 7.3 Diesel. Does it have to be taken to the garage to be fixed or can I do it at home? And how much does this module cost in Canada and a rough idea on installation charges?

The 'engine' light is called a CEL. Check Engine Light. It indicates a fault code has been set by the PCM. The code needs to be read to determine what fault is occurring. It can be any number of things that are monitored by OBD II, onboard diagnostics. Doesn't mean the PCM needs to replaced.

I took it in to a Ford dealership they did a system check and it came out that the wiring needs attention or the glow plug. Would that be a proper diagnosis or will this lead to something else?

Is it hard starting after your warm up period for the glow plugs? Does it run good after engine warm-up? My guess is a clogged injector causing missfire or a fuel delivery problem - filters or inj. pump. There are alot of guys in the diesel forum just click above in forums and see what they think.
