2000 EX PSD - Dash Break light is on and i don't know what to look for. the braks still work fine. ABS light is not lit, just the break light. i checked pads and they are fine. fluid resivor is full. will a computer hook-up tell me what is wrong? what should i check for?
Check the brake fluid level. If it's full, take the cap off the resivour and see if the floating switch is floating. If so give it a couple taps, if not that may be you're problem.

Always check the obvious ... is the E-Brake released?
I have the same problem it seem the e break switch is the problem a rubber tip is suppose too hit a push pin (momentary switch)
check if the pinis going all the way up
you can check by looking up under the dash and press the switch with your finger and see if the light goes out
i have looked in the resivour, what would the floating switch look like?
Just make sure the level is at the full mark. Don't worry about looking for the float switch. It is possible to stick so if it is full a gentle tap might free it up, but I have never had one stick,, so it is possible.
