I just got this unit and don't know much about it. It did not come with instructions since i bought it used. Does anybody have it? if so, how do you like it? I still need to get the navigation CDs and the nav antenna. What do I need to get the XM service and the nav traffic? I know its $13 a month for the bundle but i don't know what i need to buy for it to work. Is there a bluetooth adapter for this unit? Any help is appreciated.
I have the AVIC-N1 and it's held up pretty good. I'm on my 3rd navigation antenna in 3 years though (1 only last 2 months). Not sure how those would wear out but it's an all around great unit. Be careful upgrading the map dvd's. You'll get more map information but if watching a dvd while driving is a bonus for you, then check that sight that GregsSD posted, lots of good info there.
To get the XM service with Navtraffic, you'll need to order GEX-P10XMT.
Overall, it's very easy to install. I ran my Sirius and navigation antenna's out the 3rd brake light and onto the roof of the truck.
