I love that style just haven't seen a truck set up like that aside from a *****'s pickup. I think i saw somewhere that you can adapt disc brakes to the 54's front axle and i do have a 9" layin around here.
I haven't been up against a tree in 20 yrs, Gee now i feel old!

360 fe's are still plentiful , at least around here and they can be poked and stroked to 418 then slap a set of aftermarket heads and a blower on it and instant nostalgia and i wish i didn't have to part with my 55 and extra parts as i had " designs " on the extra cab i had . i was gonna make a frame out of square steel ,shorten up the bed till it looked right put the nose in the air as i have access or if he's still got it an axle from a 66 econoline van , put a cage in it build up the other fe i wasn't using , and paint it really wildlike in the late sixties / early seventies . oh and forgot gotta have a tilt nose !!!! have to wait now , but i still know where there are other victims sitting , after imcaught up and i got the 53 where i want it !!! still got my fe's though .

wiz go to my gallery under flathead parts check out the 55 {oooops} chev gasser and use it for inspiration . it belongs to a fella on another site i frequent .

Ah inspiration indeed, That 55 looks wicked! I'm going to stop by the guys place that has the 460 tomorrow and look around while i'm there to see what else he's got.
