Automatic Headlights/G.E.M. Module
I posted a question a few weeks ago about trouble with my automatic headlights blowing a fuse each time they come on. I was told to replace the G.E.M. module. I could not find it, so I went to my local Ford dealer and got a diagram (picture) of the G.E.M. module location. The picture shows it under the hood on the passenger side next to the fire wall. Everyone who responded on the forum said it was behind the fuse box under the dash. Has anybody ever changed one on a 2002 f150? The cost at the dealer is 210.00 (non-returnable). Wrecking yard price is 50.00(non-returnable). I'm going to try the one at the wrecking yard, but I want to be sure I am buying the right part. HELP!
Make shure the part # is the same and the trucks have the same acessory package, 4+4,elec locks, windows, overhead console, message center.... you get what I mean I'm shure. As for the location, it's attached to the fuse box.
