I know that this subject has had to have been covered before but I cant find the info that I am looking for anywhere.
Here is my story:
I own a 1999 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer 5.4 liter.
We started have trouble with the A/C blower cycling on & off on its own (even without the key in).
Took it in to the dealer, they replaced the fuse box under the driverside dash due to water leaking in thru the windshield.
Drove the truck about a week now all my warning lights (low fuel, oil light, brake light, low range light & the over head console readout) are coming on and off as we drive.
Could this be the G.E.M. Module or has someone else found another fix.
Thanks in advance for the help that you can throw my way.
The symptoms you describe are indicative of a soaked GEM. Is the water leak corrected? If so and the problem doesn't stop of it dries out, it is probably time to replace the GEM. What I don't recall is if you can replace it with a junker one or if it is somehow 'keyed' to the vehicle/PCM.
