Does anyone have the color codes available for the 66 F-100 ignition switch wiring? I think the wire colors are the same as the 64's but I wanted to make sure before I dove in head first. The project I am working on has a universal switch installed with misc color wires spliced in. I have the new switch already but I didn't want to spend several hours mapping out the wires on the old switch. The PO was kind enough to not label a thing or used a few 20g wires spliced to a 16g yellow wire to help supply power for instance.
On a good note, all the dash lights have solid shielding again. The same PO decided to cut 3/4" of insulation off each wire then wrap the secondary gauge light wires around that without tape or anything. Or the other one I laughed at was a few 24-26g grounding wires for things like the ammeter and radio. I wonder if they do plumbing the same way?
Alrighty then. I did some searching of other sites that have wiring schematics and found that the ignition switch wire colors are in fact the same. They even go to the same places so that will help for future searches and so on.
