Hey guys did the 3g alt conversion a while ago and love it, recently the one I had died so I actually bought one from auto zone with the lifetime warranty. Well that one died in a week. I'm guessing crappy rebuild, so went back and got it swapped today this one came with wiring instructions. Problem is the way it shows to wire it is different then I have done so I wanna get the opinion of the experts here on if I should change my wiring. Mine is currently wired as follows terminal I to red/green wire (ignition switch), S to stator, and A and bat to the battery. Now I don't have a battery light cause I have the amp meter and the new instructuins say i have it wired wrong cause with out a light it should be wired as follows terminal I to nothing, S to ignition switch , and A and bat to battery. I'll attach the picture. Just want you options before I install this one
I have mine wired same as yours using all 3 pins (ISA) on the regulator and it charges without any issues. I also have the ammeter, no warning light. I don't think it really matters either diagram should work.
