Help with decision
The solid axle front end has a solid tube between the U-joints and the differential housing. Independant front ends have the U-joints at the differential, the axle tubes are not connected directly to the differential cover, allowing each side to go up and down indepedantly.
Now, the TTB was kind of a hybrid. One side was connected directly to the differential, yet the differential moved with the suspension. Here's a link to an exploded diagram of a Ranger TTB front suspension.
