The reason for a wood box liner is not to have a retro looking truck from the 50's. With a wood box liner ( 3/4" plywood) You could drop a cement block as an example and your box would not be damaged unlike a spray in box liner that will mark with something sharp and heavy being dropped.
You may end up having to pattern it up yourself, but you should come out of it for far less money than spray-in and, like you said, it will be strong and durable. The most time-consuming part will be, of course, the wheelwells. Good luck, and keep us posted...
I'd definitely like to see picks of that I've often had to put stuff in the bed, and didn't want it sliding around, so I've been thinking of removeable rails of some sort, and wood is easy to work with ... and light.
