tranmission fluid change
I Have A 1996 F150 5.8l 4x4 Auto Tran.needing To Know What Would Be The Best Fluid To Used,an Filter,also What Would I Used To Make Sure It Doesnt Leak After Putting The Pan Back On.thank You For Any Help

Get a motorcraft filter and reuse the pan gasket if it's in decent shape. People typically say that the replacement cork gaskets leak, although mine hasn't leaked a single drop. As for fluid, Dextron/Mercon III, synthetic is a better choice but you pay the price. I'm sure you know the hierarchy of brands for automotive fluids. I would trust Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF more than most of the other ones. A few other good (and expensive) brands are Redline, Royal Purple, and AMSOIL. Good luck buddy.
