E4OD Shift Linkage Part #
I put my new transmission in and on the first restart, I put it in reverse and lost my shifter. The plastic end that snaps on to the tranny shift lever cracked and came off the rod/cable. I grooved the plastic and used "bail me out" wire to compress it to the rod. It seems to work fine and actual seems stronger...but I want to order a replacement. I cannot find the part number my usual way (dealer drill down). However, it is 110 degrees today and maybe the PCM is a little fried. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

I dont own a manual tranny, but I have seen the linkage on ebay that is stainless steel and has a ball joint for your linkage. It looks like it would fix the problem permanently. I would look on ebay and find that part, as it looks to be well worth it.
