Miles To Empty Question

I always run until the fuel light comes on and the miles per tank reads zero, and never put more than 41 gallons in the beast. The 41 gallon fillup was running 10-20 miles past "zero remaining", and the needle coincident with the bottom of the E marker.
I'm wondering if you guys have ever seen the Seinfeld episode where Kramer takes the new car salesman for an adventurous drive past the "E" on the fuel gauge?

I only fill up after reaching zero. I can consistently go 25-30 miles past zero and the most gas I put in was just over 42. I push until everyone is nervous.
