Exhaust

I'm looking for a exhaust system.
Has anyone had any experience with ( farm boys diesel ) ?
I was wondering what the difference would be, if any in quality.
I was all set on MBRP, but i contacted farmboys and they gave me a much better price on there exhaust.
And then if the sound would be as good.

Thanks!!!

He sells a ton of exhaust systems. I would ask about what material the exhaust is made from and my only other concern would be fitment. Basically a pipe is a pipe. Sound depends on downpipe size, tube back size, tip size, cat/no cat, and muffler/no muffler. A straight piped 6.0 sounds really sweet if you like that sort of thing (I love it!).

+1 for the straight pipe sound! I don't know what farm boys quoted you, but check into MKO exhaust. mkodiesels.com has the number listed. Ask for Mark and he will set ya up. MUCH better price vs. MBRP.

Thanks,

I have to get back with farm boys. He is trying to sell me a turbo back for $300. That i can use my 3 1/2 cat delete pipe. But my local ford dealer said a turbo back would void my warrenty. So farm boys has not got back with me on a cat back system price.
They guarantee i would love, with there free flowing muffler.

Good point, i never thought about fitting problems either, and hangers welding on where they need to be also.
Yes i'm doing this for the sound, i want to get that V8 gas sound when i get on it.

I will check with Mark @ MKO Diesel and see what they offer

Thanks again.

The turbo back should only void the exhaust part of your warranty(atleast that has been my experiance with 3 different ford dealerships from 3 different regions(tx, tn, and ark)). If your going for sound as the sole reason for doing the exhaust then a cat-less system is going to sound the best, I really wasn't all that impressed with just a muffler-less system. You can get a cat-delete pipe and you would just need to swap your cat in and out when your going to take it to the dealership if you want to keep your exhaust warranty intact(if they are saying your entire warranty is going to be void then my impression of that dealership is that they will look for any little thing to get out of the warranty costs, now for the 6.4 I would understand and actually expect that to be true, but not for the 6.0).

Im looking at getting an exhaust for my 06 F250 SD 6.0L. How easy are they to put on? I know that the hangers are currently welded onto my stock system. Do new systems come with hangers and do they have to be welded on as well?

well you have a couple of choices 4 inch down pipe or the 3.5 down pipe. if you want a easy install with ok horse power go with 3.5 down pipe. if you are going to chip intake and other mods to your truck I would spend the time and put a 4 inch down pipe on you have to do a port job with a porta power it is not hard. you can watch a vidio on www.hogperfomance.com they make a nice exhaust I have them in stock www.mkopower.com
