well after tying up loose ends and getting the truck back to drivin status i took a few trips around the city... terrorizing the ricers and what not. i have to say it was worth every penny. if nothing else just the fact that i know my turbo isnt going to explode. there is a little more turbo lag but once the turbo spools the truck launches! now i know to a lot of you the D66 is no big deal and there is much bigger and better, but for my use it is perfect. i'm not pulling sleds or draggin against 5.0's, i just tow a lot through the mountains and HATE being passed by tractor trailers.
anyway... i love my truck 10 times as much now and feel better knowing it's longevity has just been extended.
NOW... i gotta get that Banks IC kit in before my long haul coming up in Sept!
thanx for all the help again guys... i knew i could count on you!
with stock injectors you wont gain anything. like i said the biggest reason i went to a D66 was the fact it can handle the higher PSI's the bigger injectors force. the only way i would suggest doing a D66 on a stock truck is if the plans are to swap in bigger injectors.
I am running the DIY Stage-I's (160cc) with a Tony Wildman chip (still on the 'stock' programming) and straight pipe exhaust, 6637 intake, gutted EBPV, and shimmed FPR.
