Need Rear tag decoded

Hello everyone. One of my friends trucks rear is shot. Its a 1979 F-150. On saturday we are going to a U pull it, but I'm not sure exactly what the rear is or what the gear ratio is. The silver tag is still on the rear, and this is how it reads
EV-A 9HB (the B could be an 8, but I'm pretty sure its a B)
50 6 7 780A

Also, above it there is a tiny little plate that says 8106.

If someone could decode this for me, I would really appreciate it. Also, if the gear ratio isnt on this tag, how can you find what it is?
Thank you very much for your help, Garrett

The fact that ratio ends in 50 is is probably a 3.50

The 9H8 is the date code of casting is August 8th 1979

all the other stuff Ford info.

Axle code EVA

The 6 7 is throwing me off though......That should read as a 9

Plant 780A

If the paper sticker tag on the door jamb is present it should have an axle code (my particular truck doesn't but thats another issue).

Its most likely a 3.50, since thats the only ratio that ended like that, and its probably in a 4x4, because the vast majority of 2wds are 2.75 ratio.

Yeah it is in a 4wd, I forgot to add that. Perhaps I missed a number, but shouldn't it read 3:50 instead of just a 50? That would make more sence to me, but I dont know the first thing about coding . Thanks very much for the replies. I guess I just search for a rear that looks the same and has a 50 there?

It does say 3.50, just that the 3 is so close to the bolt or the stamping may be worn out. Look carefully though, because it might say 3L50, which would indicate a limited slip unit.

Sorry it took a while to respond.
Thanks for all the help. We went to the yard and found a 9 in with 3:50 gears and got it home. Couldn't have done it without you!
Thanks again, Garrett
