How is my belt hitting my hose... Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm fixing the hose tomorrow, but i wanted to know how it is gwtting there to hit it?
Here is a pic of the engine coolant on my inatake..
And here is a pic of the hose pissing fluid with a cut from the belt...
that prob would work, but i know that it isnt supposed to do it and i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem.... And why it might be doing this
The belt can't change it's path, but the hose can. Loosen the clamps on either end, and twist the hose out of the way, after you get a new one. Is that the lower or upper hose?
I can't see very well in that pic but it appears to be the upper hose. If it is old, I would just get the dual alternator hose that goes outside the belt and call it fixed.
Your tensioner may have become loose or the washer that holds that wheel back has worn off and allows the belt to move forward and back. I have no idea how my tensioner stayed on except for the bolt head, thats what happened to mine. 60 bucks or so to fix easy cheesy chineeseee
