Question Pulling

I am going to enter my truck in a local truck pull(Armada, Mi). I was curios of how to do it? It is a automatic and has 3.55s but i have injectors, chip, exhaust, and intake. Im not sure to be in 4 hi or 4 lo and what gear to keep it in because i dont want it to shift( it'll prolly fall off if it does) lol. Is there anyone here who can help me with all this stuff and any pointers on pulling?

I live right down the road, I'm going to go watch the carnage, could be fun. What day and time is it scheduled?
Have you made/installed a hitch that will accept that big ole hook? (and stay connected to the chassis)

I bet 4x4 lo, OD off, in Drive. The tranny will choose which gear, I think it'll probably up-shift all the up to 3rd before you loose traction and stop.

put your truck in 4 low. depending on how its running at the time you can let it shift into 2nd wouldnt go all the way to 3rd. at the end its going to try to down shift on you and this is where some trucks have problems, course most of the time by the time it wants to down **** its over. If your not wanting to shift hold it in first and 4high. Be sure like cuba was saying to have a good hitch. lots of people use a class 3 or 4 reciever hitch with a cleaves in the ball hole.

almost all of the guys around here use 4-low and let the trucks go in drive. stay out of 3rd unless you have some serious power and speed and can go the extra gear for more momentum, 4 high isnt your best choice in my opinion, esppecially with the 55's

Lazer, did you make it to the truck pull? I was too busy to make it. The Richmond Good Old Days are next month (6th - 9th), they have a truck pull too but you probably need to pre-register.

4 low start in 1st then let it shift to second, DO NOT try drive. You do not have near enough hp or tranny to try drive with your 3.55 gears.

Edit- i just saw that the pull has already happened lol.

Yep, I guessed it was cancelled, it's hasn't stop raining for 3 days. Never been to the Armada pulls. The Richmond pulls last year had about 15 tractors and 4-5 trucks from stock to wild. The tractor pulls were boring, they had a speed limit on the big ones, go figure. I guess the sled wasn't big enough to handle them.
