First let me say I have gone threw the listed cylender head ID charts with no success, this is how they are marked.
302 with circle f 2V and below is7M9 and the other is 7M8 then in a circle pattern is 13576 on the out side of the head are two markings one above a bolt hole marked 40 and on one end of the head is the # 255, I have two 302 with out the long casting # like the c8 or c7 and so on,one is not drilled for air injection the other is. Can any one help me to find out the chamber size with out pulling and ccing the heads? JNT
Well it was just in the very spot you said it would be,my # was C80E, the chart I printed from this forum dose not give just those markings. It shows that another letter like F or K,or L but I dont see it,I did not see it in your picture eather.JNT
Well I dont realy think I am doing much wrong, but I have not gotten this much in depth with gas burners for quite afew years.and I must be second guessing myself. Like I could not remember the differance in the 02 to the 351 deck hight and width, I kept thinking the holly 4V intake would fit the 51, but it will yet it wont.you know it will bolt up but you have vacuum issues and water port at the front that needs extra goop (sylicone) placed at the matting area. Just little things that this forum has had to jog my mind. well thanks again for the help, I thought I would look up my old formula book to do the compression numbers on this build, once I get the compressed hight of the head gasket I will pull that head to do a cc check. Latter JNT
