Transmission ID Troubles

I got a 4 speed manual trans that came free with the 78 250 I bought. I'm having a hard time figuring out what trans it is and whether to use it or not. Ive done some research but havent came up with an answer. It has 4 bell housing bolts, an aluminum top and the numbers C-96391 on the side with AK6 under it. On the other side there is a tag that says J27-6. There are also markings on it, a 77 on the top and two other ones, one on top and one on the passenger side, they are a circle with the letters NP in it, the N is part of the P though. My guess would be an NP435 but I'm not sure if its one of those imposter trannys or not. Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks.

NP 435.

If by "imposter" you mean the "toploader imposter" 4 speed ODs, those were not installed in F250s.

I'm thinkin its a np435. The truck itself has a c6 but I wanna swap to a standard and when I told the guy I bought the truck off that, he said he had a 4 speed i could have, he didn't know what it was and so thats where I'm at now. I found a big block bellhousing to go from it to my 429. I'll need a flywheel clutch and pressure plate, am I gonna need another starter to do the swap?
