I posted this a while back, but i thought i would give it another shot. This sound only occurs at night. It sounds like something that is suspose to be air tight is letting some air out. It makes a constant woooo woooo woooo sound. It all started when i asked my local dealer to put the stock air intake back on. The big kicker is that it only happens at night. I looked at the intake and all seems to be fine. Any thoughts?
Do you only drive with the windows down at night? I sometimes do, its so hot during the day that the A/C is on and at night the windows are down. Maybe you can only hear the noise with the windows down? Just a thought.
I had a similar "whistle" (wooo, wooo or it might have been a whhhooo, whhhooo ) type sound on throttle let off and it was air being released by my degas bottle due to all the compression entering the system. Hope its not blown head gaskets but in my case it was. If it will produce the sound while sitting still, have someone throttle it up and try pressing down/tightening the degas cap and see if the sound changes or is eliminated.
I havent actually had someone rev it up while i walk around and inspect. Lord i hope it aint the head gaskets. I have never had a tuner or chip. Its been stock since day one. I can only hear it at idle. I first heard it at a drive thru while i was a foot away from the building. I did check the top on the degas bottle and it didnt seem to be warped and was on good. Coolant level is good also.
