I just tried to use low lock today and it didn't work? 4 wheel drive works fine but no low lock. Was pulling a dump trailer with 3000lbs of gravel and a track loader inside of the trailer. I was very impressed with my V-10's pulling ability. Went to back up, put the truck in 4 low and nothing. $ high worked fine. Any thing to check? Thanks Tim
My truck gets picky going into 4 low at times. I have to make sure I'm completely stopped, truck is in neutral, and brake pedal is pressed firmly... Sometimes it takes me multiple attempts.

Let me guess you have ESOF.
Sometimes ESOF can be fickle, especially going into low and requires, neutral, movement and time to engage.
2000silverbullet hit it right on the head. Make sure you are stopped in neutral and pressing brake pedal. If you have the ESOF system, then I recommend before putting in 4x4...just get out and put the hubs in the "LOCK" position. Then go ahead and give the 4-LO a try.
Thanks for the replies. I will try them next time I get in the truck. I don't use low lock that often but I use 4X4 at least a couple of times a month. Always at least put the hubs to lock position to lube things up monthly too.
Dang I feel really stupid. Just wasn't pushing hard enough on the brake. Thanks to all that replied and hope anyune else that reads this will learn from my experience. Starting to hate the ESOF more and more.
