Recently inspired to remove my new Super 44 mufflers because they suck, I called my mechanic who installed the true dual system, and I asked him if he would remove them and replace the gap with pipe. He said that I should run a resonator, or something like a Dynomax Bullet to control some of the noise. whats your take on that guys, will the bullet defeat the whole purpose of removing the mufflers in the first place, or will it help give it some tone? I'm also worried about my low end by removing the mufflers

I recommend using our FullBlown 50 series. Those have a very nice sound and they don't rasp. I would dare say they sound better than the Flowmaster 50 series.

Those dynomax race bullets will sound mean. They will probably reduce the noise by 2-3db compared to open pipes. I would not doubt if the race bullets will deepen the tone some. I think your exhaust guy is right. the nice thing is 2 race bullets are about the price of one super 44. I may be biased however because I don't like flowmaster mufflers.
I go to order sum bullets today, and the sales men from summit stopped me in my tracks, and said "u dont want to remove your mufflers, you will have no backpressure, and you will loose your velocity and you will loose alot of low end and torque. So now what guys, is this true? He said that the mufflers are designed to help pull air from the motor to create a vaacum, but all along, everyone talks about how much restricion mufflers are, but then when i want to remove them everyone says u need them. Which is it? Then to really throw a twist on things, i suggested removing my cats, and he said same thing, i will loose backpressure, and horsepower...that soiunded like a bunch of bull to me

Velocity and backpressure are two different things.
Order online through summit or jeg's so you don't have to talk to anyone.
Changing exhaust size, removing mufflers, cats and etc. may shift your powerband a little. You won't notice any difference from your current set-up even if you straight piped the whole thing.
With cats and race bullets you will be fine.
I would go with what your mechanic said and get the bullets.
Why would any engine want backpressure? The only possible drawback to removing too much backpressure would maybe be the O2s having a hard time getting a reading, but I doubt that. As stated above, it may shift your power curve, but all in all, the less your backpressure is the better. IMHO.
exactly, wouldnt the engine create sort of its own velocity after it got started? I dont think it needs a muffler, I am ordering them bullets today baby
You don't need the muffler, what will kill the low end is overly large exhaust pipe, but running without a muffler is not going to adversely affect that. Resonators shouldn't hurt either, but glasspacks will. Glasspacks are great for sound, but make for a highly restrictive exhaust with a raspy sound.
check out these motha truckers guys, this would be the third set of tips i have put on the truck, hopefully the last. My first set i put on were way to small, the 2nd set were big but still to small, and the body shop got overspray all over them, but these one will really help accent the new bark of the new bullet mufflers.
I have 2- 22" Magnaflow tips on on my truck too. They are 2.5" In 3.5" out with a rolled lip 15 deg slash. Magnaflow makes some nice tips.
I put 2 tips on my truck and 16 of them left.
When I ordered the tips from Jeg's I thought the tips were 1 for $45.00. It said "9-pack" on the description and I thought its was a typo so I ordered two tips.
Boy was I surprised when 2 Big boxes were dropped off by UPS. 9 Tips in each box, 18 tips for under $90 shipped. I guess it wasn't a typo.

WOW! Sounds like its time for a garage sale or ebay. You could sell most of them and end up making money on the tips.
