F350baby, have you considered removing the cats for an even free'er (is that a word?) flowing system? or just going fullboar and gettin ya self some longtubes?
Heres my thing with trying to keep the cats, and it all is going to come down to how loud i can get the truck without having to remove them. Once i see how loud the truck is with the new dynomax bullets, i would rather just leave them in for legal purposes, because atleast if i am going to get a ticket for being loud, i want to be able to say i atleast have cats. I also think once i do get the bullets in, like you said, i am going to get the long tube headers, which i think will really get this exhaust flowing, and it should be down right obnoxious, which i want, all with keeping the cats.
Hurray for you. Its nice to see someone who defends the cats. I seriously doubt that you would gain enough power from removing them to justify it. A lot of people critisize me for telling them to leave that cats in place. I sell converters for a living, so it would seem that I could make more money selling you a high flow replacement. But in my experience I have found that a lot of OEM designs are actually much better than people say. They are thing you can do to improve performance. But the major chokepoints in most systems are not the cats. On your vehicle, the factory cats probably flow better than many performance mufflers.
my thing with the muffelr is to give it tone, and purpose, straight pipe can sound unprofessional and ratty at times, but theres going in today at 3:30 so videos are going up tonite!
alright boys the bullets are in! The thing is ridiculously loud! Omg, i have gotten flipped off more today then all the times i have been all together. I need to get some videos up prompto!
