Power Telescoping Mirrors
How is the telescoping function performed? And, how is it powered? I have a '99 super duty with the first (I think for this model) non-telescoping ones. I am installing newer versions which are supposed to be "Power telescoping" but the harness only has three wires.

there are no power telescoping mirrors until the '08 model. when it says "power telescoping" it only means power mirror, and manual telescoping. hope you didn't buy them with that feature in mind. if by chance you are upgrading to the '08 mirrors with power adjustment for the glass and telescopic feature, then you won't have the correct harness or adjustment ****. you would have to rig that yourself.

Mastercaster is correct, they really should be referred to as telescoping power mirrors, because many get confused by power telescoping mirrors. The 08 is the only one that can use power to fold in and out, or telescope in and out. They have a lot more than 3 wires. I am going to guess you have the mirrors from the 02 Super Duty, which allowed them to be pulled in or out manually, and folded either frontward or backward (your 99 mirrors probably only folded to the back).
