As far as I know the Platinum with Attitude still can't access the transmission control moduel (TCM). It is probably just bumping up line pressure or something like that.
The Edge Evolution is a programmer, and I believe it is able to reprogram the TCM. However you are pretty much stuck with canned tunes on it. It also has to be shut down in order to change tunes. I believe that Jody at DPtuner is the only person around right now who can right custom tunes for the Evolution, and I haven't heard of anyone around here trying them out yet (not saying they are bad, just haven't heard any comments).
The SCT Xcal-II is the most recommended way to tune the 6.0L around here. Most will also suggest custom tunes from Eric at Elite Diesel, or Matt at Spartan Diesel Technologies. If you are wanting digital gauges as well look into the MSD Dashhawk (same form factor as the Attitude monitor), or Quadzilla Commander.
