I am headed off to collage here in a couple years and I am going to be getting a new F-150. So to get to the point I do recall hearing of a 3.5 twin turbo gas motor for inproved mpg and that would be really nice. Has anyone heard of it, or know any thing about it? Thank you much
google "twin force" and you'll get some short hits about this. The Lincoln MKR concept car had a "twin force" motor. What this is is direct injection gasoline.
Direct injection gas is probably the future. You can use existing emissions technology but get diesel type power and economy. Compared to the issues with oil burners, it's a great idea for light to medium vehicles.
If it works as it is said to.
If you buy the first year production of this (from any manufacturer) you are a brave man.
Oh, ok the 2010 model will be ok with me and that would be awesome to get those numbers out of a 3.5 or 3.7 because when my foot wont be in it, I will be getting 2 or 3 times the millage i get with my 97' 7.5L
