Automatic door locks

Does anyone here know if it is possible to turn my 07 Screw's automatic door locks off? It never fails, I go into the garage in the morning carrying a lunch, a drink container, my morning coffee, breakfast, sometimes reading material, clean T-shirts, etc, etc, etc and I get to my truck's passenger door and it's locked from my ride home the previous day. Then it's set half the stuff down, to dig in my pocket, to get my key out, to unlock the door. A real pain in the ****. I know it's a safety feature but its a safety feature I can do without. I hope that this is doable. Any ideas?

This topic's been covered before:

You have two options:

1) read your manual and DISABLE the auto-lock upon putting the truck in drive and taking off. This way, your locks will only be locked if you locked them.

2) install an aftermarket alarm such as Viper that will allow you to customize (& override) such settings.

Get your self in the habit of unlocking it when you arrive home! That is what I do, when I park in the garage I hit the unlock button before getting out!

Thanks for the links Gordo, very interesting reading. I did do a search, but must have used the wrong key words, because I got some totally unrelated links. As far as the manual goes, DUH! Oh dopey me!

My '05 locks when I hit 5mph, and my wife likes that, but I dont care if they do or dont. The manual has the sequence to have to turn this feature off, but it doesnt inconvenience us. It doesnt have the lock feature when its parked that I know of. Wish it did. (Other than the key fob).

No, not with a stock setup. With certain aftermarket alarm systems, this can be configured.
