You could check this post out. I dont know how reliable it is, but it is a member that has done it. You will have to make your own judgement.

I would not recomend doing it until you can get a programmer that will eliminate the regen all together. Sct is working with MBRP on a offroad set up that will be a direct exhaust replacement with the tuner to kill the regen.

I had issues with the simple cat back system i install on my 08. The computer is real sensitive to change.

Hope this helps.

I agree with sanddemon, wait till a regen killing programmer comes out. There are some guys that straight piped thier 6.4's on another site, but they had problems with the truck going in to constant regen mode, not good.

1000 mi with straightpipe. It went into regen at 500 for 50 miles or so. With Superchip & straightpipe mileage went from 10- 15 highway. Increased power 10-20%. It did go into regen at about 1100 mi & wouldn't come out. Put the dpf back on and its back to normal. As soon as someone has software to turnit off I'll be first in line. It sounds like an F16. Not much rumble, just hissing air. Hope that helps.
