tranny issue

OK, here's the deal...I have an early 99 PSD with superchip and banks...I know DP tuner, just haven't got that far yet....So back to the tranny, when I take off hard in 1st it pulls good, however when it shifts to 2nd, feels like it's slipping and never quite grabbs. This also happens when I'm taking off slowly in 1st it shifts to 2nd, I hammer it...doesn't really grab. Or If i'm just cruising and hammer it, doesn't feel like it grabs either, almost like slipping the clutch.

The torque converter was supposably changed by the previous owner.

What does the fluid look like? Color? Smell?

It's still a nice red, has a little burnt smell...but not THAT bad.

You mentioned Banks...? If you've got their trans-command installed, try putting it in the bypass mode. A burnt smell sounds (and smells) like slipping of either the clutch packs or the TC or both.

Could try the spring kit for the valve body to up your clutch pack pressures.

Why don't you start by changing out all the fluid? Will it help? I don't know, but I know it won't hurt it.

I had the same thing happen to me and I got a code reading
p0750 said my 2 gear silinoide was out it would shudder when I took off but when I reached freeway speeds it would stop.Might want to check and see if any codes a popping up hope this helps
