just a couple questions, i am gonna get me a set of chi heads for my 400 project within the next couple months and am wondering which route to take with em, should i get the 2v and use the weiend manifold i have or a holley strip dominator that i have in teh shed or should i get the 3v and get one of their intakes, tihs is gonna be for my daily driven 72 swb ford so torque is gonna still be a pretty big priority, but i do however want to make as close to 500 hp as possible, the motor i have is a 400 and it runs good with the stocker heads that i've exhaust matched to a set of fel pro gaskets but i'm looking for more, what do yall think
I am using the CHI 2V heads and the Weiand intake for my 434 build. I bought them bare and built them up from there. I am using a custom grind cam, but on the desktop dyno my build put out 591 ft lbs of torque @ 2000 rpm and 520 hp @ 5500 rpm. I think the 2V heads are better for a daily driver compared to a race application where you would see high rpms more often.

For a daily driver you should use the CHI 2V heads with the Weiand intake. That must be a Holley Street Dominator, it is a single plane intake and will not make as much torque at low RPM.
If you really need 500 HP, you will need the CHI 3V heads and CHI manifold.
What are the specs for your motor?
What will your Compression Ratio be with those heads?
What cam are you going to use?
