rusted floor replacement?

Ok guys i have an idea on how to replace the floor. Just want to pass by some of you for your input. Its the driverside front section on my 55 f1. I have a complete cab im getting the parts from. Im building this as a daily driver. I was thinking of cutting out the old section from the seam where the firewall meets to the back part of where it joins the seat brace that goes from rocker to rocker. Center of cab floor. But this is my ???? I thought about cutting up to where the floor is beaded, by trans cover.Than take the new panel and drill holes and over lap and plug weld and use a seam sealer. With the panel bent down because of the bead i thought that the differance would not show? What you think? Im at this point right now! Friday nights and sat night are my time to play with the truck. Thanks RT

I replaced the floor in my 50 with 14 ga metal; from under seat to about 8" above kick on firewall; it blended well. Just repair to where metal is good, not rusted. Retain as much original floor as possible.

Well after looking at the old as a whole and what i had to replace with i decided to cut the whole floor and replace with the new one that was blasted and epoxy primed. So i just cut the whole floor out and now im getting the replacement ready to be cut. look in my gallery i have posted pics. Let me know what ya think! RT
