"Air Intake on 5.4L"
25-Jan-02, 02:01 PM (EST)
I will soon own a 2002 SuperCrew 5.4L. In the past I have always taken the stock air cleaner housing off and replaced it with an aftermarket system. I've seen the FIPK, but on the last truck I owned, which was a 96 Ram 5.9L, I removed the stock housing and replaced it with a 15" Round Chrome cansiter with K&N filter. It included an oil breather tube as well. Has anyone seen or know if this type of application will work or is even available for Ford? Thanks in advance. This setup should provide much more gain than an aftermarket FIPK. Let me know if I'm wrong! Thanks again. Jim
I posted this last week in another room, but recieved no response. Hopefully someone here can shed some light on this question. Thanks.
