slave cylinder cracking

slave cylinder cracking

I have a 97 f250 in the past 4 years I have gone through 4 slave cylinder it like clock work ever 12 to 14 months. every one has crack in the same place anyone knows if I have another problem I am over looking????

Welcome to this place first of all. Second where is it breaking? sounds odd to me. Post some pics of it that way we can put our eyes on it. Sounds like the seating surface is not like it should be.

cracking at the back. old one at the auto parts . dorman who make the slave cyl. blame it on the fork and pivit ball o"reilly blame on my presser plate and told me no more warranty next time ( so much for lifetime warranty )

I went through a few from the parts houses, they're actually a 1/2 ton slave (at least mine were).I got one made by Luk,it's larger in diameter and seems to take less effort to depress the pedal plus it's got a bleeder screw made into it.
