First AOD in a Bronco = 1985
First AOD in an F100/350 = 1981
First AOD in a Econoline = 1983
First AOD = 1980 = Ford LTD/Mercury Grand Marquis
From 1985, both C6's and AOD's were used in Bronco's depending upon application.

Correct, and i think 89/90 is when Ford replaced the AOD with the E4OD. As far as whether a mid to late-80's Bronco has the AOD or C-6, I think that depends on the dealer or buyer option for that particular truck. I've seen most Custom models with the C-6 and manual-shift t-case, while the XLT's have the AOD and electric shift. That's just what I've seen most of in salvage yards, JSM84
