Blinking dash light

What is the signifance of the small blinking red light just to the left of the steering column on my 2005 Ranger EDGE 4x4 extended cab? Any info greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's not labled. Just a small blinking light an 1"&1/4 from steering column. Blinks 24-7 key on or off.

I am not familiar with the Edge.....but do you have the keypad keyless entry? Could be part of the security system for that.

Is the light located in the factory instrument panel, or is it seperate, by itself?

Sounds like it could be an aftermarket alarm or something like that.

Hi Rockledge. No the light isn't in the cluster. It's about an inch and a quarter to the left of and in line with the steering column. Small and blinks 24/7 all key positions.Thanks for the suggestion.
