My problem is with our 2003 F250SD crew cab with a 6.0L powerstroke and a torqshift transmission. the problem occurs after the vehicle is driven a little. The trans temp rises to just about normal operating temp (less than 1/2 way) and then pegs.

I suspect the sensor is faulty. When the transmission is cold, I can get the sensor to work OK.
Anyone have an idea as to where this sensor is located?
I really would prefer to replace this sensor myself rather than bring the car into the dealership for a few days and some flailing...
